The Spirit of St. Louis Marathon & Family Fitness Weekend® will host its annual Art & Sole art auction celebration on Saturday, March 31, 2007 from 6:30 – 10:00 p.m. The Spirit of St. Louis Marathon & Family Fitness Weekend will host its annual Art & Sole art auction celebration on Saturday, March 31, 2007 from 6:30 - 10:00 pm.
This year's theme is "Running Through St. Louis." The auction will feature 30 unique 4 foot x 6 foot canvas paintings that highligh significant St. Louis landmarks located along the marathon course. A wide variety of styles including folk art, loft art, fine art and carictures will be available through silent auction. All works will be produced by regional artists. NEW THIS YEAR: centerpieces made from men's and women's shoes decorated by local celebrities will be auctioned as well.
The hip country band SPUR will provide musical entertainment. Food will be catered by Sidney Street Cafe and other establishments.
