Proper training can be the difference between an enjoyable and rewarding experience to an unsatisfactory outcome. Although there are a variety of training programs available for all abilities and distances, finding one that fits your schedule and needs is key. We recommend finding a training partner or group to join. The local running community is strong and welcoming. Whether you are just getting started or have been competing regularly, consider attending a group training run. Here are some options:

Join the 2012 GO! St. Louis TrainingTeam New in 2012 is a personalized training experience through a partnership with local running leader Big River Running Company. This exciting new training program is a great way to get instructions from area experts on how to properly train for an endurance race, while meeting other participants at the same fitness level. The cost for the 12 week program is $125 ($85 for GO! For a Cause Team Members) and covers all Wednesday and Sunday Group Training Sessions, post-race food and drinks, etc. It also includes weekly group emails from the coaching staff, access to the interactive team website, weekly training clinics on Sunday mornings and an official Big River Training Team Longsleeve Tech Shirt. We will email confirmations and further details on when and where to meet as well as how to gain access to the team website, etc. as we get closer to January 22nd.
