Chesang and Orf Capture All-American 5K Titles |
Mathew Chesang and Hilary Orf captured titles at the 2nd annual GO! St. Louis All-American 5K presented by ABC 30 on June 16. Chesang crossed the finish line in 14:51, which was 14 seconds off Matt O'Connor's course record of 14:37. Chesang outpaced his bother Benson Chesang, who finished second with a 15:03 time. Finishing third was Big River runner, Carter Snow, 15:09. On the women's side Hilary Orf won with a 16:54 time, which was 18 seconds off Jackie Pirtle-Hall's course record from last year. Finishing second was Crystal Harriss at 17:18 and third place was captured by Lisa Cary, 17:31. Overall, more than 2,000 participants registered for St. Louis' Fastest 5K, which included a large number of families celebrating Father's Day.

New Half Marathon Added to The Great GO! St. Louis Halloween Race — Riverfront Course Revealed |
The popular Great Halloween Race, set for October 13 now has a half marathon distance. This 5th annual race also includes a 10K, which is Missouri’s largest, a 5K and a 1-Mile Fun Run. One of the most exciting features is the new race course, which was designed to showcase the riverfront. Here’s your chance to run in the shadow of the Gateway Arch and along the Mississippi Riverfront. Hurry, registration is now open, and capped at 2,500 for the 13.1 distance.

Aaron Braun and Mattie Suver Break Half Marathon Records - Awarded $10,000 for Top Prize |
April 7, 2013 - Aaron Braun crushed the men's half marathon record in the 2013 GO! St. Louis Half Marathon - presented by PNC Bank. Braun, 25 from Flagstaff, AZ, posted a 1:03:13, which earned him the $10,000 top prize. Mattie Suver, 25 from Colorado Springs, CO took the women's title, with a 1:12:22, also a new course record. In the marathon event, Geoffrey Kiprotich from Sylvania, OH set a new record with a time of 2:20:00, while Autumn Ray from Tuscon, AZ was first on the women's side, with a 2:51:28. The GO! St. Louis Marathon & Family Fitness Weekend, which is Missouri's largest fitness event, attracted more than 25,000 participants in 10 different events. Full Results

2013 GO! FOR A CAUSE CHARITY PROGRAM CONTRIBUTES MORE THAN $367,000 TO LOCAL NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS Program Has Generated Over 1 Million Dollars in Four Years
The GO! for a Cause charity program helped 27 area charities raise $367,342 for their causes as part of the 13th Annual GO! St. Louis Marathon & Family Fitness Weekend. The program debuted in 2010, and continues to expand each year to include new charities and opportunities for official partners to increase fundraising and visibility for their cause.
